Welcome to the “Tesori della vetta,” an oasis of peace and serenity located at the top of Monte Brè in Lugano. These three accommodations, housed in a carefully restored Liberty-style building from the 1920s, offer a unique and charming stay, surrounded by nature and silence, with breathtaking panoramic views stretching from the Gulf of Lugano across Lake Ceresio to the peaks of Monte Rosa.

The “Tesori della Vetta” are ideal for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life, immerse themselves in a peaceful retreat, and experience something truly unique. The apartments are conveniently accessible via the historic Monte Brè funicular, which connects the center of Lugano with the mountain neighborhoods and ultimately the summit, providing a one-of-a-kind experience.

All apartments include free Wi-Fi and smart TVs with access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other services through your account. Guests also have access to books and board games. Bed linens and towels are provided before arrival. Each accommodation is equipped with a Nespresso coffee machine, a hairdryer, and a kettle.

As the apartments are not directly accessible by car, it is recommended to shop in Lugano before heading to the summit. Apart from essentials included in the welcome kit, local shopping options are limited.

Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented at discounted rates for guests, subject to availability and during the funicular’s operating hours.

The location, ideal for guests seeking privacy, peace, and relaxation, is not directly accessible by car. Parking is available about 200 meters away at the Ristorante Vetta, via a steep path.

Use of the funicular, which connects Lugano with the summit every 30 minutes, is included in the apartment price. Guests are advised to check the funicular schedule during their stay (www.montebre.ch/fares-timetables).

As an alternative, guests arriving by car can park at the Centro Esposizioni parking lot in Lugano Cassarate under special conditions and then use the funicular for free during its operating hours.

On the ground floor of the building is the Osteria Funicolare, and just a short walk away along the paved path is Ristorante Vetta, both with panoramic terraces. Guests can enjoy meals at special rates.

By arrangement with the restaurant managers, guests can also order set menus or semi-prepared dishes to be collected before closing time.

Due to the historical origin of the building, accessibility is limited. The apartments are reached via a staircase, and funicular transfers are included in the accommodation fee upon presenting the booking confirmation to the staff.

Small dogs (up to 10 kg) are welcome.

About a 20-minute walk from the “Tesori della Vetta” lies the picturesque district of Brè, known for its cobblestone streets and characteristic old houses. The area has been an inspiration for numerous artists. Art enthusiasts can visit the renowned museum of artist Wilhelm Schmid. For nature and hiking lovers, there are numerous trails and routes for all fitness levels.

Attractions such as the village of Gandria and SwissMiniatur are reachable by car in 10–15 minutes.

The nearest international airport is Milan Malpensa, approximately 75 kilometers away.
