ITINERARY

MONTE BRÈ SUMMIT > BRÈ > GANDRIA > CASTAGNOLA

This trail follows the route that connects the summit station and the picturesque Brè village. Your hike begins by heading towards Gandria. Descend towards the lake along a path that partially rejoins the “Nature and Archaeology Trail”.

Once you’ve finished this stretch, you’ll arrive at Gandria. From here on, to get back to the city, you can continue along the “Olive Tree Trail”. Alternatively, you can embark on the first boat operated by the Lake Lugano Navigation Company (a combined Funicular & Boat ticket is available). To finish your walk, a visit to the San Michele Park is also recommended.
